The Pulse Oximeter can be used to measure human Haemoglobin Saturation and Heart Rate through a fingertip. Pulse oximetry uses a light emitter with red and infrared LED that shines through a reasonably translucent site with good blood flow e.g. fingertip.
Opposite the emitter is a photo detector that receives the light that passes through the measuring site. Easy to operate: Put the test subject’s finger into the rubber cushions of the clip and then clip the finger. Press the switch button once.
The LCD digital display will show:
- Pulse intensity by a single column bar graph
- Pulse rate as numbers
- SpO2 (pulse oxygen saturation %) as numbers
SpO2 measuring range: 35 to 99%
Pulse rate measuring range: 30 bpm to 250 bpm.
Pulse intensity: columniation display
Power requirements: 2 x 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries (adaptable range: DC 2.6 V to 3.6 V)
Operating current: less than 20 mA
Low voltage warning will be indicated in the visual display when battery voltage is so low.
Automatic power off when no finger for longer than 8 seconds.
Display: Pulse: 3-digit and LCD digital display (resolution 1 bpm); SpO2: 2-digit and LCD digital display (resolution 1%); Pulse intensity: LCD bar-graph display
